Charro Days Fiesta

Feb 26-28, 2026

Brownsville, Texas, USA

Come to Brownsville and enjoy the most fun time of the year, Charro Days!  Enjoy the annual and binational fiesta that celebrates the Mexican heritage on both sides of the Rio Grande Valley! Charro Days is a celebration between two border cities, Brownsville, Texas, and Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Every year, we receive more than 50,000 attendees. This fiesta, includes daily parades, food, music, contests, and the Sombrero Festival!

The first Charro Days celebration in Brownsville, Texas was held in February of 1938, and featured parades, dances, races, a bullfight, a rodeo, a concert, a grand ball and Noche Mexicana.  Residents and visitors dressed in the traditional costumes of Mexico and honored the Mexican "Charros". Today we have expanded our menu of events to include something for every member of the family.
