Hi, I’m Giudi, a Swiss girl with a huge passion for long-distance hiking. I really enjoy exploring new places by foot, carrying all I need in my backpack, feeling the strength of my body, and loving my simple self on the trail.

Hiking is a wonderful way to explore a country, get to know its culture and reconnect with nature. It is an activity which is accessible to everyone, no matter your experience level. Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran hiker with a lot of memories in your backpack, the great outdoors is there for you to explore.

If you are a beginner who wants to get more into hiking, you could start with shorter, well-marked and popular hikes to familiarize yourself with the terrain and with your shoes, backpack, and clothes. Make wise decisions: get informed about the hike you chose, pack enough water, wear comfortable shoes or boots, and dress in layers to adapt to changing weather.

Remember to check the weather forecast before adventuring into the unknown, and to let someone know where you will be hiking. Listen to your body and take breaks when needed. Do not get discouraged, and remember: hiking is not a race, it’s about being present, enjoying the views and the adventure!
